Poisoning by Red Arsenic

On the following morning they all seemed to get better, except one or two who complained of headache, burning sensation of the body and constantthirst. These symptoms were easily relieved by the administration of dilute Sulphuric acid in ten drop doses in an ounce of water every 2 hours. On the 6th July they were all discharged from the hospital cured. The history of the above case was the following :?These 10 Chinamen used to mess together in an arrack farmer's house. It appears that on the previous day one Chinaman had some altercation with the arrack farmer, for his refusing him liquor gratis every time. The man was annoyed for the refusal, and told the liquor seller to be careful. Next morning he came to the shop again and was seen to enter the kitchen and open a chatty of rice cooked that morning. At 8 o'clock 10 Chinamen took their rice from the same chatty. Immediately after some of them commenced to vomit, and some complained of burning pain in their stomachs, and they all were restless.
